The Polish language, a West Slavic language, has its roots in the early medieval period, around the 10th century, when the Polish state began to form. Its development is closely tied to the formation of the Polish Kingdom and the Christianization of Poland in 966. The earliest written records of Polish date from the 12th century, with Latin being the dominant language for administration and religion. The Polish language, however, began to be used more frequently in writing by the 14th and 15th centuries, especially in legal and literary texts. The language also underwent significant Latin and German influences due to interactions with other European cultures and the political situation.

Throughout the centuries, Polish continued to evolve, influenced by historical events such as the partitions of Poland in the late 18th century, which divided the country between Russia, Prussia, and Austria. These partitions led to the suppression of the Polish language in education and administration in favor of Russian, German, and Austrian. However, the language survived as a symbol of national identity and resistance. After Poland regained independence in 1918, Polish experienced a renaissance, with efforts to standardize the language and promote its use across the country. The language's role in national identity was further solidified during the communist era (1945-1989), and it continues to be a key part of Polish culture and pride today.

All 7 books are available in the Polish language and there are a few editions as well. The most common editions are the those featuring the US 1st Edition art by Mary GrandPre; you can find both hard and softcover editions with this well=known cover art.

The Polish editions were translated by Andrzej Polkowski and are published by Media Rodzina.

I personally prefer the hardcover editions over the softcover Polish editions - I think they are just so much nicer than the others, which is why I only have the 1st softcover book.

ISBN: 9788372780003

Softcover Edition
1st Edition Softcover Polish Translation of Harry Potter and The Philosoper's Stone; Harry Potter i Kamień Filozoficzny

Aside from the above two editions, the Polish Potter translations can be a variety of different editions. All 7 books were published using the Michael Wildsmith Uk Bloomsbury adult covers, and the same can be said for the Jonny Duddle cover art, which was first realsed in the Uk in 2014. You can also get all 5 of the Jim Kay illustrated books in Polish. Book 1-3 are available in the House editions too.

All of the book s below are the 1st book of the series, unless noted otherwise.

ISBN: 9788380082335
Adut Edition Hardcover Polish Translation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone; Harry Potter i Kamień Filozoficzny
This may my favorite example of Michael Wildsmith's art - the hardcover is so beautiful and smooth and matte.
ISBN: 9788380082120
Later Edition Hardcover Polish Translation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, illustrated byJonny Dudde; Harry Potter i Kamień Filozoficzny
And like it's neighbor to the left, this may be my favorite example of Jonny Duddle's art for the same reasons as before.
ISBN: 9788380082977

Baśnie Barda Beedle'a
Honestly, I've yet to meet a Tales of Beedle the Bard translation that I don't want. This book tends to show shelf wear a bit more than I'd like, but I lvoe the cover art.

This softcover edition has the same ISBN as that of the above softcover with MGP art, BUT this book was given out a part of a 2000 Coca Cola Promo - "Conjure up a book for your child!". The back cover has a Coca Cola stamp on the back bottom left corner and there's a purple Coca Cola stamp on the first page.  I am not sur eon the rarity of this edition, as it was only available as a promo item, from my understanding anyway, and I am unsure how many were produced.
